Forever Turned Out To Be Too Long

What a weekend! My family and I have finally moved into the new house we built next door, so things have been a little chaotic over here. You'd think that moving next door would be a breeze, but it's Monday and I'm still exhausted, and trying to get all the dust out of my lungs. The new place feels strange but nice. Also, since this move is temporary, I will have to master the art of living out of the cardboard box. Speaking of, I think what I'll take from this experience though, is not to be such a hoarder. I really don't want to fast forward ten years and be one of those crazy ladies on Clean My House who keep old, broken washing machines on the front lawn and sleeps next to piles of clothes from the Seventies, or in my case the Noughties. Though I'm sure that would never happen...

The other thing I wanted to share is that I'll be taking up post-graduate studies at Curtin University next year. I got my acceptance email (Yes, that's right, acceptance email) on Thursday. Starting first semester, I'll be completing a Graduate Diploma in Communications and Cultural Studies (Professional Writing and Publishing). Which is basically the long-winded way of saying that, I'll be studying Writing. I'm very excited to be taking a step in a new direction. It's been so great just traveling and working this year, but I think that's more than enough time, and I'm feeling very focused and eager to get started.

Anyways, thanks for reading. Will definitely post more now that I'm stressing less and looking forward to the end of the year. I've been thinking about getting a friend to write a guest post for my blog. I wanted a little male perspective so I will get on that. Anyway, my friend gave me Mad Men Season Four yesterday, and I've been waiting so long to watch this. So I'm off to enjoy a little Don Draper and a lot of Sixties fashion. Night!

The Postman Always Rings Twice

Yesterday, when I came home there was a lovely package waiting for me from my cousin Michelle. It couldn't have arrived at a better time as I was having a particularly bad day, but all is well when you open your mail and find these goodies inside! Unfortunately, some packaged tea she sent me didn't make it past Australian quarantine (BOOOOO!!!). Anyways, I'm a lucky gal. Especially since that nail polish was only available in New York, and apparently Toronto.

I love getting postcards, letters, and care packages in the mail. I'm planning to send back an assortment of Australian lollies! I just got to find out what lollies we have that are actually Australian and not just imported, heh. I wish I could send chocolate, as I'd love to send Tim Tams. I don't think it would make it back in this heat though!

Anyways, just thought I'd share a little of my joy. Thanks Mish! x

And the Gleeks shall inherit the Earth

Incase you haven't met me, I am a huge fan of the TV show Glee. I've been wondering when something like this might be released, and now the wait is almost over. On November 18th (just over a week!), Konami will be releasing Glee Karaoke Revolution for Nintendo Wii! *squeals in delight*. There'll be 35 songs from the first season, single and multiplayer modes, a co-op mode to perfect your vocal harmonies, and an interactive scrapbook mode unlocking items to make and customise your own scrapbook. You can also perform with your favourite characters from the show. Hmm... a duet with Finn? Yes please.
"I could totally sing this with Finn. But screw him if he thinks he's taking the Diana Ross part from me" - Kurt
It's a good thing I don't really have neighbours.

Make It Happen

Wow. It’s only been a week and a half since my last post? I guess I miss blogging more than I realise. I’ve been keeping myself rather busy with work lately, and organising my admission papers for studying for next year. However, the main reason for my absence is that I’ve been re-thinking my approach to my blog. I’m obviously very new to this, but I see the potential in myself to take this to another level. I enjoy posting on here very much, but sometimes forget how much dedication, passion, and time actually goes into maintaining one. Or rather how much of these things are conducive to a good blog. So I’ll be trying to implement some changes, carry out the things I had planned for here, and hopefully attract readers. Ideas, criticisms, and friendly hellos are welcomed: contact.
