I heard about Neon Indian when I was in New York and recently bought their album, Psychic Chasms. I haven't really been excited by any of the new bands coming out in the last year but I cannot get enough of this band. The genius behind the music is Alan Palomo, but of course with a band of musicians, and they're from Austin, Texas, by way of Brooklyn.
I got hooked by their song 'Terminally Chill', which is just the coolest thing I've ever heard, and so perfectly titled, right? Brilliant. If you like MGMT, then have a listen.
Make sure you have a listen to 'Deadbeat Summer', it's been the perfect soundtrack to my hot Australian summer so far, and I can't hear it enough. Enjoy.
